2014 DTS

It has been a week and half that the 7th Winter DTS 2014 in YWAM Koivumäki has started. It is a great blessing to be part of it as a student, a great privilege to get to know God and His ways.  

The first week of teaching has emphasized on our ID in Christ and it was followed by the teaching about the character and nature of God.  

• ID in Christ 
  
  

Our identity does not depend on what is outside but on what is inside. In Christ our lives our lives should reflect the following reality: 

• we are accepted 
• we are safe and secure 
• we are significant 
  
  

The truth about me is from what God has done for me and what He says about me.” if you know the truth, the truth will set you free”.  

In Christ we have power and authority; this is the reality we should walk in by renewing our mind. When we do not know who we are we cannot either claim what belongs to us. We renew our mind by reading the word of God and believing what is says. The word of God is the mirror of our inner man. When we have faith in what our identity in Christ is, the word of God starts to do work in us. 

Having a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ makes us righteous. Therefore some of the following reality should be reflected in our christian walk with God: 

• The righteous “we” should live by faith 
• There is no condemnation for the righteous “us” 
• The righteous “we” should not go on, on sinning 
  
  

My true ID is found in Jesus Christ. I am a new creature, the old man has passed away. Jesus has done the complete work there is nothing we could add to it. 

My work is to receive everything that God has provided for me through the cross of Jesus Christ. 

As I learn to embrace the truth, I do the works of the spirit and I put to death the work of the flesh. 

• Nature and Character of God 
  
  

God is longing to have a relationship with each and everyone of us and He is asking “were are you?” the same question He asked Adam and Eve after they ate the forbidden fruit. 

The belief that I have about God will affect the way I see him manifesting in my life. Therefore my belief should be based on the truth”Jesus” in order for me to experience the fullness of God’s true nature. This is a life time journey. 

Knowing more about God helps me to know more about myself and understand who I am . In the same way children inherit some of the character of their earthly parents, I also have some character and nature that I have inherited from my Heavenly Father. God is love, holy, wise,just, judge, faithfull, kind..ect.

Tätä Missionuorten opetuslapseuskoulua on mennyt nyt puolitoista viikkoa täällä Koivumäellä. On todella suuri siunaus saada olla osa sitä oppilaana, on suuri etuoikeus oppia tuntemaan Jumalaa ja Hänen teitään. 

Ensimmäisellä opetusviikolla korostettiin identiteettiämme Kristuksessa, ja sitä seurasi opetus Jumalan luonteesta ja olemuksesta.

Meidän identiteettimme ei riipu siitä mitä olemme ulkoisesti, vaan siitä mitä on sisällämme. Kristuksessa meidän elämämme pitäisi heijastaa seuraavaa todellisuutta 

• Olemme hyväksyttyjä 
• Olemme turvassa sekä varmoja 
• Olemme merkityksellisiä 
  
  

Totuus minusta tulee siitä mitä Jumala on tehnyt puolestani, ja mitä Hän sanoo minusta. "Jos te tunnette totuuden, totuus tekee teidät vapaaksi." 

Kristuksessa meillä on voima ja auktoriteetti; tämä on se todellisuus, jossa meidän tulisi kulkea mielemme uudistuksen kautta. Kun emme tiedä keitä olemme, emme voi myöskään vaatia omaksemme sitä mikä kuuluu meille. Uudistamme mieltämme kun luemme Jumalan sanaa ja uskomme sen mitä Hän sanoo. Jumalan sana on peili sisäiselle minällemme. Kun meillä on usko siihen mikä on identiteettimme Kristuksessa, Jumalan sana alkaa tekemään työtä meissä. 

Henkilökohtaisen suhteen kautta Jumalaan Jeesuksen Kristuksen kautta, tulemme vanhurskaiksi. Sen tähden näiden seuraavien asioiden tulisi heijastua meidän matkastamme Jumalan kanssa: 

• Vanhurskas elää uskosta 
• Ei ole mitään kadotustuomiota niille, jotka ovat Jeesuksessa 
• Vanhurskaina emme enää jatka synnissä 
  
  

Todellinen identiteettini löytyy Jeesuksessa. Olen uusi luomus, vanha on kadonnut. Jeesus on tehnyt täydellisen työn, emmekä voi lisätä siihen mitään. 

Tehtäväni on vastaanottaa kaikki minkä Jumala on tuonut minulle Jeesuksen ristin kautta. Kun opin omaksumaan totuutta, teen työtä Hengessä ja laitan pisteen lihan työlle.

• Jumalan luonne ja olemus 
  
  

Jumala kaipaa suhdetta jokaisen meidän kanssa, ja kaikki mitä Hän kysyy on: "Missä sinä olet?" Se on sama kysymys jonka Hän kysyi Aadamilta ja Eevalta kun he olivat syöneet Pahan tiedon puusta.

Se tapa miten tunnen Jumalaa, vaikuttaa siihen miten näen Hänen toimivan elämässäni. Sen tähden uskomukseni tulisi perustua Jeesukseen, jotta voisin oppia tuntemaan Hänen todellista luonnettaan sen koko täyteydessä. Tämä on elämän pituinen matka. 

Kun opin tuntemaan Jumalaa enemmän, opin myös tuntemaan itseäni paremmin ja ymmärtämään sitä kuka olen. Samalla tavalla kun perimme maallisilta vanhemmiltamme joitain luonteen piirteitä, perimme myös jotain Taivaallisen Isämme luonteesta ja olemuksesta. Jumala on rakkaus, pyhä, viisas, oikeudenmukainen, tuomari, uskollinen, lempeä, jne.
